Welcome to the website for the Lansing Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. It is here that you will find useful information regarding our organization, our chapter and current programs and activities that seek to improve the lives of others in our communities. Founded by 22 insightful collegiate women on the campus of Howard University in 1913, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a “Sisterhood called to Serve.” The Lansing Alumnae Chapter was chartered in 1960, by 12 tenacious women who had a vision for service, scholarship awards, cultural development and a heightened awareness of social and political issues for the Greater Lansing community. It is through this rich legacy and in their honor that we continue this great work. We are grateful for your continuous support of our programs and events that allow the work of Delta to impact lives and transform communities. We are also proudly the home chapter of our beloved 18th Past National President, Soror Hortense Golden Canady. Again, thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Please also feel free to visit is on our for additional updates and events. We look forward to working with you.
